KEYS + ELECTRONIC EXAMPLE

Keys and electronic band stage plot

A practical example for stereo keyboards, playback, vocals and electronic instruments where DI count and power matter as much as physical position.

Stage layout

Place the main keyboard rig where stereo DI runs can stay tidy, and show playback separately rather than hiding it inside a generic “keys” label. Marking power positions is particularly useful when laptops, interfaces, controllers and pedal supplies share the same area.

Advance notes worth including

State whether stereo sources can fall back to mono, who supplies the DI boxes, and whether playback is essential to the show. If an interface sends click or cues, make clear that those outputs are not for the audience mix.

Common mistake: writing “keyboard” once when the act actually needs four or six line-level channels. Count outputs before sending the rider.
