A practical rider builder for working musicians
Stageplot turns the information a venue needs before a gig into one straightforward workflow.
Why Stageplot exists
Stageplot is a small independent web tool for musicians who need to send venues a stage layout, input list and technical notes without opening design software or wrestling with a document template. The aim is simple: make the information a sound engineer needs easy to prepare and easy to read.
The builder is intentionally practical. You place the equipment where it actually sits, describe the people on stage, check the generated inputs and monitor requirements, then export a rider you can send to a venue. Your working rider stays in your browser rather than requiring an account.
Built around real gigging workflows
A useful rider is not about making the band look complicated. It is about removing surprises at load-in. A venue should be able to see who is on stage, where they stand, which audio sources need channels, what requires a microphone or DI, how monitoring is handled and whether there are unusual power or backline requirements.
That is why Stageplot pairs the visual stage layout with editable production information instead of treating the diagram as a standalone picture.
What Stageplot does — and does not do
- Creates editable stage layouts for bands, solo performers and acoustic acts.
- Helps organise input channels, microphone/DI notes and phantom-power requirements.
- Includes monitor and technical notes in the same rider workflow.
- Provides starting templates that can be changed to match the real act.
- Exports through the browser so the finished rider can be saved as a PDF.
Stageplot does not replace communication with a venue or engineer. House equipment, patching, stage dimensions and production practices vary. The examples on this site are starting points, not demands that every venue use a particular microphone, channel number or layout.
Free and independent
The core builder is free to use. Stageplot is not a venue, production company or equipment manufacturer, and the example setups are not sponsored equipment specifications. The goal is to make advance information clearer for performers and crews.
Build your own version
